Happy Wednesday Families and Friends♥
A warm welcome from Toddlers Two –
Today we have in our classroom: Indi, Jackson.C, Mathias, Cameron, Edward, Leiana, Oliver, Macsen and Max
This morning the children were excited to explore the environment and engage in a variety of fun play experiences. We started our day putting sunscreen on and going to the playground area for a play with our friends from Toddlers One. With this warm weather our friends favourite spot was water play. Around the sink area the children enjoyed filling up the basket and containers with water and pouring on to the grass. They also enjoyed washing the babies and watering the plants.
The time flies when we are having such fun with our friends! It was then time to start our morning routine, group time and get already for morning tea.
In our programming for the day we extended the children interests for the sea animals. At group time Miss Jess read the book “Jolly Olly Octopus” – Underneath the ocean, down beneath the sea, one wriggly octopus is giggling with glee – full of rhymes the children loved the story they all set down very nice on the carpet and kept their eyes on the pages. They also had so much fun telling the name of the animals.
In our play group experience today Miss Gabi set up two big tray with sensory experience for our friends to explore. In one of the trays we had an under the sea animal theme with rocks and coral all filled with water! Our friends let their imagination run wild as they were playing with the animals in such a scenario.
In the red tray we filled it with fresh water and added in bubbles and recycled plastic bottles – Our friends like filling the bottles up and tipping them back out again and they enjoyed blowing the bubbles in their hand.
After our glorious morning it was time for delicious lunch before we rested our bodies for this afternoons adventure.
This afternoon we sang a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our friend Macsen who’s birthday it was on the weekend. The children then ate some delicious cupcakes as well as their afternoon tea.
This afternoon depending on the heat outside we may or may not head out until later.
