Happy Friday!
This morning we welcomed our friends, Hudson, Ruby, Toby, Abel, Parker, Archie, Hunter, Orion, Lincoln, Aria, Rumi, Isabelle, Kezia and Alanis. The children spent their morning in the big yard riding bikes, stepping on the stepping stones and playing hide and seek. Once all of our friends had arrived, we headed indoors for a group time. Today for group time, we had a dance party, before singing our ABC’s and bee bee bumble bee and transitoning to morning tea.
After morning tea, we sat on the mat with Miss Aaliyah and played a game of Silent Ball. This practiced the children’s inside voices, taking turns and staying silent. We then transitioned to our acitvities.
Today was such a relaxing day as we had fewer children, so Miss Bec and Miss Aaliyah really got to spent quality time with the children. We had children at the playdough table cooking their own pizza, we had children using magnifying glasses to look at loose parts, we had some of us on the mat exploring our new toys which were different types of liquid timers and ooze tubes. These are sensory sensations, that the children can use in our quiet area to calm down and have some time to themselves. We also had some children selling pizza to one another in the home corner. Today was amazing and so calming!
Miss Jen then came for our dance lesson which we look forward to every week!
