Happy Friday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy room the children were excited to gather around the table to help Miss Emma make some delicious chocolate muffins as an extension on Denis’ interest in baking at home. The children were given the opportunity to pour and measure the ingredients and add them to the big mixing bowl. The children helped count the cups of flour and coco and then help mix the ingredients in the bowl. The Senior Kindy children then observed carefully as the mixture was poured into the patty pans for baking. The children had so much fun interacting and sharing their thoughts and ideas as they worked collaboratively together to bake. Thanks Miss Emma for joining us this morning and sharing this fun cooking experience with us!
This morning the children were also given the opportunity to build shapes, patterns and castles with the magnetic tiles, practice their drawing skills on the whiteboards, engage in sensory playdough play with the rollers, hammers, scissors and animal shape cutters and build and construct farms and buildings with the lego set. Miss Tatyana then suggested we play dress ups as Miss Leesa selected some Disney tunes for the children to show off their dancing skills and play musical statues. What a super fun day of learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today…
