Happy Friday families and friends…

Today the Senior Kindy children started their day in the great outdoors as they explored and enjoyed the natural environment and had fun playing with their peers. The children kept busy riding and sharing the bikes on the track, climbing and balancing on the river rocks and taking turns sliding down the mountain. Some friends then worked as a team to help pull their peers back up the mountain. Miss Leesa then observed two friendly grey ducks sitting on the playground fence. The children rushed over to say ‘hello’ as the ducks politely flew away and up into the branches of a nearby tree.

The children then transitioned indoors for morning tea and indoor play experiences. Today the children were excited to make choices of their own as Miss Leesa prepared the table with some fun activities. The children practiced their fine motor skills collecting the pom poms with the tongs and placing them into the recycled egg cartoons. Some friends enjoyed expressing their creativity, painting with the fluro paint pens as the children noticed the pens created ‘bubbles’ of colour as they squeezed the tubes. Role-play with the baby dolls was great fun today as the children took turns pretending to be a ‘little baby’ and their friends covered them in blankets in the cot and put them to sleep.

Yarn time today we shared songs of children’s choice including the ABC, Wheels on the Bus (where we all pretended to visit each others houses) and Little Crocodile. To transition to wash hands today the children called out their ‘name’ including their ‘surname’  and also continued with identifying their first name as they collected their hats from their pockets to play outside. What a super fun day of learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today…

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa and Miss Tatyana
