Happy Friday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy room we celebrated Harper and Latika’s ‘3rd Birthday’ which is this Sunday by making some yummy ‘Frozen Cookies’. The children all took turns stirring the mixture in the big bowl as we identified all the ingredients including flour, milk and butter. Happy Birthday girls for the weekend, we can’t wait to hear about your special day next week.
This morning after making the cookies the children were excited to explore the room and engage in a variety of experiences.Today the children continued on with ‘real-life play’ as they pretended to type on the keyboards and have conversations on the phones. Some friends enjoyed sensory play dough play as they made ‘sizzling sausages’ and ’round meatballs’. The children were also given the opportunity to express their creativity with sponge painting as the children chose the colours green and yellow. Chalk drawing and writing on the whiteboards was great fun as the children took turns and shared the markers and chalk. The Senior Kindy friends also enjoyed transport play and having a tea party in home corner. Yarn time today we shared some of our favourite puppets and felt stories including Little Turtle, Brown Bear and Row your Boat. What a super fun and busy day at kindy today.
