Hello families and friends…
This week in the Senior Kindy room the children will be given the opportunity to engage in role play as we all pretend to be doctors and nurses. This morning during Yarn Time Miss Leesa displayed the new doctors kits and costumes and discussed that the children could all take turns being doctors, nurses and patients. After morning tea the children excitedly gathered on the mat as Miss Leesa set up hospital beds using the rest time mats and sheets and the children played in pairs and small groups as they took each others temperatures, blood pressure, checked each others hearts with the stethoscopes and engaged in conversation and dramatic play. The children then collected the baby dolls from home corner and created a children’s hospital as they continued to role play and take care of the babies. The children engaged in this play the entire morning and we then packed away for Yoga with Miss Haley. We will continue on with role play as doctors and nurses again tomorrow. If anyone has story books at home about visiting the hospital and the doctor that we could share for group time, please bring it along this week…Thank you…
