Happy “Magnificent Monday” Senior Kindy Families,

Today we begin our raining Monday, welcoming and acknowledging all students and educators that arrived for today’s lesson. We said our good mornings to Dominic, Lincoln, Hudson, Banjo, Kezia, Goku, Alanis, Luca and our darling Rumi. For today’s class we welcomed Miss Aaliyah and Miss Lara.

Due to the unfortunate weather and reconstruction being done in the centre, our children spent their Monday indoors and in the Kindergarten Two room. Although our children made sure to take extreme advantage of the indoor classroom. Just after morning tea, our children were actively engaged in a variety of table-top experiences as well as their own choices of spontaneous play. Today the children were found extending and further working on their fine motor skills as they played with our green gooey playdough. Fine motor skills were demonstrated in this experience as our children utilised the muscles in their fingers/tips and hands to push, squeeze, tug and grab the playdough. Whist our playdough table was set up, our children were found engaging in a variety of their own choices and interests. Senior Kindy children found enjoyment in using the number puzzles, playing with bongo drums and creating dinosaur playgrounds.

Just before lunch, our Senior Kindy students participated in a group-learning experience with their weekly yoga teacher Miss. Hailey. During this time, our children created mini bracelets and participated in a collection of yoga songs, stretch routines and dances. Providing our children with the opportunity to have group learning allows our children to further extend on their social skills and even enhance their communication skills. This is done as our children sit together and talk amongst each other. Overall, we have had a very “Magnificent Monday” and we look forward to seeing you next time. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Thank you 🙂

Miss Aaliyah & Miss Lara.
