Hello families and friends…
What a super fun day of fun, learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today. Due to the children’s ongoing interest and positive interactions during group times recently, this week we thought it would be fun to extend on this by learning new songs and rhymes, sharing new story books and engaging in group time games. Today we shared to beautiful story books about little monkeys living in the jungle who are always brave and take care of their friends entitled ‘Monkey’s Tail’ and ‘Superchimp’. The children really enjoyed the stories as they shared their thoughts and ideas. This morning we also learnt a new but old song – ”Where is Thumbkin’. The children did very well trying to use their hands as actions to sing along. The children also thought it was very funny that the fingers were pretending to talk to each other and say, ‘How do you do?’. This afternoon we are going to try out a little game called ‘Duck, duck, goose’, which I’m sure the children will enjoy.
Other play experiences today included sensory playdough play and kinetic sand play, puzzle play with the tree house and castle puzzles, chalk drawing on the chalkboards, transport play, Yoga with Miss Haley, building towers with the wooden blocks, role-play with the doll house, cooking in homecorner and working on the large ABC floor puzzle with Miss Shanaya.
Until next time…
Love Miss Leesa and Miss Tatyana
