Hello families,
Today we welcomed Rumi, Hunter, Lilly, Zahra, Dominic, Hudson, Archie, Parker, Luca and Lachlan into the room. We started the morning outdoors where we played on the swings, made cupcakes with mud in the kitchen, played in the creek rode on bikes and made sandcastles in the sandpit. Once all of our friends had arrived, we headed indoors where we sat on the mat for a group time where we read “Teddy bears picnic” before singing … jumped over the candle stick and washed our hands for morning tea.
After morning tea, we started our Nature week project. As a class we are making an “under the sea” diorama using a big cardboard box. The children painted the outside of the box blue, making the water for our project. The children then also spent time colouring in the different sea animals that will eventually hang in the diorama. On another table, we had playdough. The children spent time manipulating and moving around the playdough making different shapes. We then all headed outdoors for a big play. We had a dance party on the tree house, moving our bodies jumping up and down. It was then time for lunch so we came in and sat down at the table.
