Good afternoon friends and families,
This morning we welcomed Dominic, Luca, Parker, Goku, Lachlan, Hunter. Everly, Kennedy, Rumi and Zahra into the room. Due to the weather, we spent the morning indoors. We started off with a little bit of free play with the dinosaurs, putting them on the new area that Miss Bec made for them. The children really enjoy this as it has multiple levels and has rocks and grass. They also enjoyed playing with the animals in the nature sensory tray. This was made up of rocks, sand, shells and leaves. We then sat down for a big group time, where we shared conversations about “getting to know me”. The children talked about their favourite food, animal, whether they had pets or not, what they liked to do with mum and dad, and who their best friend is. This was really interesting. We then sang some songs before transitioning to the tables for morning tea.
After morning tea, we sang some more songs, had a dance before we headed up to the toddler room for our tooth fairy show. The tooth fairy show consisted of a lady dressed up as a fairy, dancing to different songs whilst having the children help her brush the toys teeth. The children danced to baby shark while brushing the sharks tooth as well, which they absolutely loved!! This was a good reminder for the children to brush their teeth, and the fairy was enthusiastic which helped the children enjoy it even more. Once the show was over, we headed back down to our room where we played with some play dough and again played with the dinosaurs. We then transitioned to the tables where we had lunch, before it was time for a rest.
