6 more sleep until Christmas!
Happy Thursday everyone. This morning we sang some nursery rhymes and Christmas songs together on the mat. Miss Donna let us borrow a story called ‘The night before Christmas’ which was a lovely story about Santa’s journey on Christmas Eve. Daniel visited us for our last Arakan lesson of the year. Ella and Ayla enjoyed observing the class and slowly warmed up and joined in. Senior Kindy practiced their hand eye coordination again, catching a bean bag and throwing it back to Daniel. We also practiced a couple of patterns.
Back inside the classroom the children chose the activities for the day. Zahra suggested drawing, Ellie suggested play dough, Zachary and Chihiro asked for the cars and Kaylee asked to play in home corner. The play dough table was very relaxing today, moulding the dough with our fingers and using scissors, cookie cutters and rolling pins to help create. Over in home corner the group enjoyed dressing the babies and using the new shopping station. We also added the candy cane inspired threading activity which has been a great fine motor challenge for the children.
We had such a beautiful day with the children really comfortable and calm interacting with one another.
Hope you all had a lovely day
Miss TJ
