Hello friends and families,

This morning we welcomed Lachlan, Dominic, Luca, Parker, Goku, Hudson, Hunter, Zahra and Rumi into the yard. The children spent their morning engaging in spontaneous outdoor play with their friends from Pre Kindy and Kindergarten classes. The children spent their time role playing in home corner, climbing and sitting on the grass hill with Miss Bec reading stories, riding bikes and exploring through the nature. Once all of our friends had arrived, we lined up at the back door in our “choo choo train”, washed our hands and sat down for morning tea.

After morning tea, we sat on the mat with Miss Aaliyah reading “You’re a big brother”. We chose this book today because Lachlan is going to be a big brother!! YAY! We then transitioned to the tables where we had our activity time. Today for our activities, we did a recycling activity. We used the bottom of  old plastic bottles to dip into paint and make a pattern on paper. The children spent a long time doing this, as they enjoyed the different flower like pattern that it was creating. This was a great way for the children to understand different ways and objects to paint with. We then spent a very long time dancing and having a dance party. Our favourite songs are “Down by the bay”, “A tooty -ta”, “baby shark”, “down by the sea”, we absolutley love dancing! It is very good cognitive and brain stimulation, moving all of our muscles around and around. It was then time for our weekly Arakan lesson, where we learnt how to kick, punch and move our bodies in a defensive way.

We have had a beautiful day here at kindy!

Reminder– please bring in a family photo for our family tree, it is a great way to learn about eachothers families, and for the children to look at throughout the day.

Love Miss Bec and Miss Aaliyah xx
