Happy Tuesday families and friends…

What a super fun day of learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today. Today the children were given the opportunity to enjoy both indoor and outdoor play. In the great outdoors the children enjoyed sharing books in the cubby, pushing the diggers and maneuvering the sand in the sandpit, role playing with the dinosaur figurines and cooking in the outdoor kitchen.

Indoor play today the children enjoyed continuing on with creating beautiful collages using the glue and coloured paper shapes, sensory playdough play with the rollers, paddelpop sticks and shape cutters and engaging in transport play with the emergency stations. Yarn time today we shared some of our favourite stories including ‘Monkey’s Tail’ and ‘My Daddy ate an Apple’ requested by the children. We also sang some of our new favourtie songs including Inanay, Home Among the Gum Trees and Where is Thumbkin?’  We also learnt a new song called ‘Frere Jacques’. The children still continue to really enjoy singing time and I’ve heard along the grapevine that the children  have been trying to teach their mums and dads our new songs at home. Good job friends…

Today we also practiced  more self-help skills including packing away our own sheets and helping our friends and scraping our plates after meal times. The children have very quickly developed their independence in these skills and are very proud of their own achievements…

We would also like to wish our little friend ‘Lachie’ a very Happy 3rd Birthday today… Best wishes and thank you for sharing your birthday with us…

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa and Miss Tatyana
