Hello families and friends…

Today in the Senior Kindy room we continued on with sharing big books for group time. This morning we shared a story about a farmer who’s scarecrow was not doing a very good job of keeping the big black crows away from his vegetables entitled ‘The Silliest Scarecrow’. The animals on the farm helped dress up the scarecrow with clothes to help scare the crows away. The children were then given the opportunity to make their own ‘silly scarecrows’ as they utilised the glue, paddle pop sticks and a variety of collage materials to design and create. The children were very proud of their achievements as they carefully placed their scarecrows on the rack to dry. Group time we all joined in to sing and dance to ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ – one of our favourite songs with actions.

Other play experiences today included transport play, role play in home corner – cooking and cleaning, building and constructing with the wooden blocks, puzzle play, dollhouse play, songs with actions and sharing story books in book corner.

What super fun day of learning and play at kindy today… Until next time…
