Happy Tuesday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy room we continued on with our ‘farm animal theme’. This morning during Yarn Time the children sang along to the B.I.N.G.O song about the ‘farmer who had a dog named Bingo’. The children were also very engaged as we shared a big book about ‘The Little Red Hen’ who baked bread but didn’t share with her farm animal friends. Play time the children transitioned onto the mat and table experiences and were excited to take turns role-playing with the new ‘farm animal’ play space. The children ensured the animals were safe in their pens and barn for sleep time at night. We also enjoyed a game of ‘farm animal bingo’ as the Senior Kindy friends listened carefully to the animal sounds on the CD and then identified them on their bingo card as they called out proudly and said, ‘I have a horse or a cow’.
Today the children also had lots of fun working in pairs to build a ‘princess castle’ with the new colourful duplo blocks, practising their drawing skills on the chalkboards, making cakes with the playdough and utilising the feathers as birthday candles, having a tea party in home corner with the baby dolls and sharing storybooks from Miss Leesa’s book shelf.
