Hello friends and families,

This morning we welcomed our friends into the yard where they explored, jumped off obstacle courses, jumped off of tall areas onto the soft fall mats and made a pirate ship using the blocks. This morning we welcomed Hudson. Toby, Nayla, Dominic, Luca, Parker, Alia, Orion, Henry, Banjo, Rumi, Isabelle, Kezia, Tua, Zahra and Alanis. Once all of our friends had arrived, we came inside for morning tea.

After morning tea, we sat on the mat as a whole, sitting on a velcro dot each. We read “There was an old lady who swallowed a mozzie”. We spoke about how mozzies bite us sometimes and how we scratch it. As a group, we sang some songs including “The wheels on the bus”, the alphabet and we counted to 20. We then held hands in a circle, and took turns at rolling the number dice. We then performed an action, the amount of times shown on the dice. For example, 9 star jumps, touch your head 8 times. Our friends then skipped to the table where Miss Bec asked them to draw their favourite animal. We had crocodiles, elephants, monkeys, tigers and “Miss Bec”.

It was then time for us to head on over to our animal show. Some of our friends did not want to participate in this, as they were scared. Our friends got to pat and touch lizards, crocodiles, a bird, possums a turtle and even hold a snake. Their faces were absolutely priceless, as they showed excitement and fear at the same time. They enjoyed this show so so much! We learnt about where each animal lives, what they like to eat and even when they sleep.

We spent the remainder of the morning outdoors, before it was time for lunch. The main hit today was jumping off the higher section of the obstacle course.

What an amazing day!

Thank you for your understanding of mask wearing and not being able to be in the room. We will miss seeing you for the next two weeks in our room.

Love Miss Bec, Miss Aaliyah and Miss Tayla x
