Happy Tuesday Senior Kindy Families,
We hope you all have had a beautiful Tuesday. We start our morning off in the slide yard as we awaited for our peers to arrive at drop-off. During this time we spent our morning sliding down the slippery dip, playing on the sea-saw and climbing the obstacle course. Just as morning tea arrived, we welcomed: Parker, Toby, Zahra, Hunter, Luca, Henry, Alanis, Orion, Archie, Nikora, Tua, Nayla, Nanjo, Dominic, Kezia, Alia, Isabelle, Rumi and Lincoln. Just as we completed our morning tea, our children made their way to our Kindergarten room for a show based on the concept of feelings and being safe.
Today we had a special visitor from the “Ditto’s keep safe adventure show”. Our children were very eagerly excited as we got to meet our new friend Ditto. Ditto put on a show for Riversdale, which solely teaches our children on the concept of recognizing positive feelings such as: feeling happy, excited or wonderful. Along with understanding and recognizing the negative feelings such as: feeling upset, angry or anxious. We continued to learn about giving consent, learning to keep our bodies and body parts to ourselves and what to do whenever we feel upset, angry or anxious. Throughout the show our children got to dance, sing and even got special Ditto stickers at the end of the concert.
Just as we wrapped up the show, we continued to craft, decorate and complete our upcoming Father’s Day gifts. Without giving away too much detail, our children continued to wait one by one for their turn to craft and create their gifts. In the meantime our children found their enjoyment in participating in a spontaneous free play, these including: riding on the bicycles, blowing and popping bubbles, free drawing and role play. Overall, we hope you all have had a wonderful Tuesday and we look forward to seeing you next time.
