Good afternoon Families and Friends,

This morning Miss Bec and Miss Deb welcomed Dominic, Luca, Parker, Lachlan, Banjo, Kennedy, Poppy, Rumi, Grace, Kezia, Lilly, Henry, Zahra, Lincoln and Alanis into the Senior Kindy room! We started the morning outdoors in the sunshine where the children were able to explore the yard, role play in the outdoor kitchen, build climb on the bars, run around and slide down the treehouse and the grass hill and riding the bikes around. They had a blast!

The weather then got a bit hot so our friends transitioned indoors where we had group time with Miss Bec new books, “We are going on a bear hunt” and “That Alpaca ate my cracker”. Miss Bec also brought in some Alphabet flash cards, where the children practiced “A is for ant, B is for banana….” They did so well!! We started by Miss Bec saying the letter and the children naming the object on the card.

We then sang “bee bee bumble bee” before we then washed our hands and sat down at the table for morning tea. After morning tea, the children had free play within the room, some chose dress ups, some chose the train tracks and some loved the puzzles. Miss Bec then also set up a play dough and an art and craft table. The children enjoyed manipulating the play dough into different shapes. Play dough is a great sensory skill for the children as they feel the texture. On the other table, some of the children enjoyed drawing on paper with crayons practicing their pincer grip and fine motor skills.

We then packed away and sat down for lunch which we all enjoyed! What a great start to the week we have had.

Love Miss Bec and Miss Deb xx
