Happy Tuesday families and friends…

Today the Senior Kindy children were excited to venture back outdoors after our delicious morning tea and morning yarn time which included our ‘Acknowledgment to Country’, good morning songs and  nursery rhymes of children’s choice. In the great outdoors the children were keen to explore and play in pairs and small groups with their peers. Cohen, Latika and Lachlan raced straight to the bikes to ride  along the bike track and venture onto the grass and encouraged their friends to join them on the back of the 3-wheeler bikes for a ‘free ride’. Luna showed off her balancing skills on the scooter as she called out ‘watch me’. Myla engaged in role play in the creative play area as she chose a rainbow skirt to play dress ups and then showed off her twirling skills as Miss Leesa helped her label all the colours found on the skirt. Taran and Connor played in pairs as they had running races using the skipping rope to run back and forth on the coloured spots on the ground. Miss Leesa called out ‘ready, set, go’ as the children raced.  Harper and Bjorn enjoyed each others company as they had races down the big green slides. The children were a little tired after making their way up and down the rope ladder all morning to take turns on the slides but they kept going and had so much fun. Ryan spent some quiet time reading books on the mat and then made his way to the big swing where he invited his friends to join him as he called out ‘higher, higher Miss Leesa’. Ryan giggled in delight as the breeze blew through his hair. Other outdoor play experiences included making ‘bark cupcakes’ in the outdoor kitchen, water play using the water pump to fill buckets to water the garden, enjoying sliding races down the green hill and ball play.

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa and Miss Danica
