Happy Hump day Senior Kindy!
This morning we welcomed our friends who spent their morning outdoors exploring, running and engaging. Once all of our friends had arrived, we came inside where we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea. After morning tea, we sat on the mat for a group time where Miss Tayla asked Lincoln to pick a book for the group to read. We read a “feelings book” and “Give me space”. It was then time for us to go to our “Bugz kids” show.
In this show, we got to explore different types of bugs, where they live and what and why they eat what they do. We also learnt about sustainability, where animal puppets gathered in a picnic and talked about why each bug is good for the environment. The children were intrigued and learnt a lot!
This took up most of our morning, where we went straight outdoors for the reminder of our morning. Just before lunch, Miss Lea then brought in the animals that were at the bug show. The children were so fascinated as they got to look close up with different bugs including snails, stick insects, crickets and grass hoppers. We loved it! Miss Bec then came back from her programming session where the children were so excited to share with her what they had done today.
Just a few notes today:
- Please label all your belongings, unfortunately Miss Bec, Liyah and Tayla cannot remember what belongs to each child, and we get very confused sometimes, especially when some children have the same things 🙁 It would be great to see the children’s belongings labelled, however we can certainly do this for you with your permission.
- Reminder about our family tree, please bring in your favourite photo. We would love to see each and every family up on the tree.
