Hello families and friends…

What a super busy day in the Senior Kindy room today. We started our day in the outdoor environment as children made the most of the cool weather and the play experiences on offer. The children kept busy engaging in sensory play in the outdoor kitchen with the sand, bark and water and cooking materials. Building and constructing with the large wooden blocks in the sandpit was popular and practicing our strength – swinging from the monkey bars. Some of our friends took part in Little Big Sports – Soccer – and today they practiced their balls skills and turn taking skills with the coach. The children also quietly observed some little birds having a bath and drink in the puddle of water underneath the pump. The children were fascinated as the birds happily cleaned and fluffed their feathers.

Indoors the children continued on with learning new Christmas songs and rhymes and painting and decorating Christmas wreaths. The children also enjoyed building with the wooden train tracks, grocery shop play, water colour painting and role play with the farm animals. Group time today we shared a story about Santa entitled ‘Santa is Coming to Brisbane’ and we then enjoyed some songs and dances with actions including ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’, and ‘Sleeping Bunnies’.

What a great day of fun, learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today..

Enjoy the photos… Until next time…
