Good afternoon friends and families,
This morning we welcomed Zahra, Poppy, Lachlan, Grace, Kezia, Archie, Alanis, Finley, Banjo, Henry, Rumi, Luca and Rania into the yard. We spent the morning in the separate smaller side yard this morning, letting the children form connections with their room, and having a play in a different environment. The children enjoyed jumping over hurdles, hitting tennis balls with rackets, rolling the ball around the circle to our friends and reading in quiet corner.
We then headed indoors where we sat down for group time where we read “ we are going on a bear hunt”. We then sang some songs including the wheels on the bus, open shut them and the ants go marching. We then transitioned to the bathroom where we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea.
After morning tea, Coach came and we had a free trial of soccer! We all really enjoyed ourselves. If you would like to sign your child to do this on a weekly basis, there is a form in their bags for you to sign and return.
We then started our daily activities. Today we continued with our Australia Day themed activities, where we set up an Australia themed scheme with animals. The children loved moving the animals around in the rice and pasta. We also did some pippete and water colour painting today. The children also really enjoyed that, using a different technique of painting. After we packed away that, we did some glitter painting, where the children covered their paper in glue, then sprinkled glitter over the page, making it nice amd glittery.
We then headed outdoors for a quick play, running, climbing and swinging around the yard.
We are all now fast asleep and ready for a fun filled arvo.
