Happy Wednesday families and friends…

The Senior kindy children had a wonderful day of fun and play at kindy today. This morning the children were excited to engage in role play with the baby dolls. Miss Leesa collected the baby bottles, bibs and nappies and the children set about playing make believe, pretending to be mummies and daddies. Ryan said, ‘my baby is drinking milk’ as he proudly gave his baby doll a bottle. Latika and Christopher requested Miss Leesa’s help to place the cloth nappies on their babies and Lachlan went on a little walk and gave his baby a cuddle and a bottle. Harper said her baby was ‘crying’ and needed a dummy. The children had so much fun engaging in conversation as they identified and negotiated roles during this role play experience. The children also engaged in transport play with the emergency stations. Ryan said, ‘fire truck puts out fires’ as he pushed the fire engine down the ramp. The children also pretended to be police officers as they made siren sounds and chased each other about the mat. Miss Leesa sang ‘Hurry, hurry drive the fire truck’ song as the children played.

The children were then excited venture outdoors to have a turn on the jumping castle. The children kicked off their shoes and climbed in to jump about and bounce. Latika giggled as she tried very hard to keep here balance. The children bounced on their knees and bottoms and certainly wore themselves out as they all required a big drink of water upon return to the room. What a fabulous day of play with friends today..

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa
