Hello Riversdale families,
We hope you have been having a wonderful Wednesday!
To start our day off, we came inside for our morning group time. We said our ‘Acknowledgement to Country’ and sang our morning songs “Hello, how are you?” and “We are Terrific” 🙂 We also welcomed one another and our educators so that we all felt comfortable, included and apart of the Senior Kindy cohort 🙂
Once we re-energized our bodies with some fresh morning tea, we all got to enjoy some indoor/outdoor play with our friends! We love making our own decisions and feeling comfortable and encouraged to explore in all of our options at Kindy 🙂 We are very lucky to have all the toys and equipment provided for us and today we made the most of them!
Some of us went straight into the fine-motor and physical activities such as climbing, racing, balancing and bike riding; while others chose to engage in some indoor sensory and imaginative play such as play-dough and our farm animals. whichever activity we played with each has their own learning experience and in different ways help develop a set of skills, while also always keeping us in a positive social environment! Its amazing how much we grow and learn just by playing 🙂
before big lunch and rest time, we came inside on our mat for a little group time with Miss Leesa. She gave us a visual aid of different faces and we had to try and guess which feeling/emotion it was showing. Once we guessed the feeling/emotion we sang the song “If you’re happy and you know it” while we sang and performed the actions based on that feeling. We had lots of fun getting involved in today’s group time!
