Happy Wednesday families and friends…
Today in the Senior KIndy room we continued on with practicing our self-help skills as we helped pack away our toys after play, pegged our own artwork up on the drying rack and made our own beds – with help – for rest time. The children have been doing so well with these skills to further develop their independence and confidence in their abilities. Well Done Friends…
The children also enjoyed an extended play in the ‘big playground’. engaging in water play – wading through the puddles in the creek bed, transport play, painting the cubby house, drawing on the chalk board and cooking in the outdoor kitchen. Some friends practiced their ball skills engaging in Little Big Sports in the top playground.
Indoors the children enjoyed expressing their creativity with gluing and collaging and creating beautiful paintings with the water colours. Some friends requested to read stories form the shelf and shared them with their peers while some friends engaged in role play in home corner playing dress-ups and taking care of the baby dolls. Yarn time we shared a story about a mummy duck who takes care of her babies who jump into a river entitled ‘Ducks Away’ by Mem Fox.
What a wonderful day of learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today…
Until next time…
