Hello familes!
This morning we welcomed our friends Everly, Lachlan. Alanis, Zahra, Luca, Hudson, Henry L, Henry W, Nayla, Orion, Banjo, Poppy and Finley, as well as our friends Tua, Brayden, Nikora, Lincoln and Rosie from Toddlers who will be transitioning into our room. The children spent their morning indoors due to the rainy weather. We enjoyed a dance party, completed some puzzles and engaged with one another through role play. The morning flew by, and before we knew it, it was time for morning tea.
After morning tea, our friends sat on the mat with Miss Bec where we read “Wombat Stew” and sang a range of songs including the wheels on the bus. We even made our own version where Miss Bec would say “the … on the bus says….”using each child’s name and the noise they would like to say on the bus. The children found this hilarious! We then transitioned to the tables where we had playdough set up. Miss Bec made the colours red and blue, even representing the State of Origin teams. The children also engaged in free play, forming relationships with our new friends and helping them settle into our room. We then saw the sunshine come out for a little while, so we raced outside to get our energy out. What a cracker of a day.
