Hello families and friends and welcome to ‘Fabulous Friday’ in the Toddler room.
This morning after a yummy morning tea the children were excited to transition into the Toddler Two room for Funky Feet Dance. Today the children practised stretching as they sang and played ‘heads and shoulders, knees and toes’. They played follow the leader with Miss Jen as they imitated her dance moves and actions and then played musical statues. The children were then given the opportunity to choose either indoor or outdoor play. Some friends chose to venture outdoors and engage in sensory play in the sandpit with the diggers and the jungle animal figurines, while some friends chose to stay indoors and engage in small group painting as we created jungle snakes today using our Yarn Time story ‘The Snake who said Shhh’ as inspiration. We then extended on the painting experience, by using some jungle animals to make footprints in play dough, which was requested by Harry. Other activities we enjoyed were – song and rhymes and felt puppets with Miss Leesa on the mat. We wish you all a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
