Welcome to another wonderful day of learning and play in the Toddler Room. Today we continued on with our transport theme. The children excitedly gathered on the big purple mat as we all applied sunscreen and our hats and ventured outdoors after morning tea. Miss Nikki brought along some diggers from home and Miss Leesa collected the diggers and dump trucks from the playground. The children raced to the outdoor environment and collected their favourite truck to play with in the sandpit, to race down the hill and even push along the obstacle course. Miss Nikki also collected a large trough of water which she placed near the sandpit for the children to engage in water play in the sandpit. The children had a wonderful time using the sandpit toys including buckets and cups to gather water from the trough and transfer it to the sand. The children practised their measuring and pouring skills as they added the sand and water together. The children quickly discovered they could make some amazing sandcastles with the wet sand also. Mr Dan then joined us for ARAKAN Martial Arts. The children followed Mr Dan’s directions as they raced to catch the gloves and practised their Martial Arts skills.
WOW!!! What a wonderful day of fun and play in the Toddler room today…
