Happy Thursday families and friends!
Today in the Toddler room the children were excited to continue on with washing the babies in the bubble bath. Ivy and Evie gathered the little dolls from home corner as Miss Leesa prepared the bubble bath with wash cloths. The children quickly made their way to the tub to wait their turn bathing the babies. The children and Miss Steph, who joined the experience, engaged in conversation about how to carefully wash the babies face, tummy and toes. The children then made their way to the towels on the mat to dry their baby dolls. Some friends then transitioned to the home corner area to prepare meals for the baby dolls and put them to sleep in the cots. The children also utilised the recycled materials including yoghurt containers and cereal boxes in home corner to role play as part of recycling week at kindy.
The children were also given the opportunity to engage in sensory play with the blue playdough. Miss Lyn collected the rollers and paddle pop sticks and children set about kneading and rolling and making birthday cakes with candles. Alek, Colton.Y, Millie, Taran and Harry all made birthday cakes as they pretended to blow out the candles while singing happy birthday. Harper joined in and made a pancake with candles on top.
The children helped pack away the playdough and then settled at the table for painting with the fluro paints. Vaughn, Colton.L and Ivy had a wonderful time painting and identifying the colours as they created pictures on their page.
What a super fun day of learning and play in the Toddler room today. Until next time…
Love Miss Leesa, Miss Lyn and Miss Octavia
