Hello families and friends and welcome to another fun-filled day of fun, learning and play in the Toddler room today!

This morning we welcomed our new friend Romney to the Toddler room! We hope you have lots of fun Romney, meeting new friends and engaging in many new play experiences. Today we ventured outdoors to explore the playground, take turns on the swing, climb and balance and practise pedalling on the bikes. Then all of a sudden the rain came down so we all made our way under the verandah to observe the rain making puddles on the bike track and creating big drips from the fort into the sandpit.  We decided to have our morning yarn time on the verandah today as we shared our ‘Acknowledgment to Country’ and good morning songs.   We then sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to our friend ‘Dallas’ who turns ‘two’ today.

Indoors we continued on with our transport theme as the children rushed to the table to revisit playing with the cars and the playdough. We also engaged in play with the recycled containers from home corner again and extended on this experience by counting and sorting the coloured wooden blocks into the containers. Mr Daniel then joined us for ARAKAN. The children all lined up and waited for Mr. Dan’s instructions and then excitedly practised  their martial arts skills as they all took turns.

Other play experiences today included gluing and collaging with the colourful paper, singing along to our favourite songs and rhymes with the finger puppets, building and constructing with the lego set and sharing transport books on the mat.

This afternoon we are going to celebrate Dallas’ birthday with some yummy home made cupcakes for afternoon tea,

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa, Miss Lyn and Miss Thais
