Happy Tuesday families and friends!

Today in the Toddler room the children kept busy with a variety of planned and spontaneous play experiences. The children enjoyed construction play with the lego set building towers and transport vehicles. The children also had a race to see who could build the tallest tower with the duplo blocks. Miss Jade engaged in role-play with the baby dolls in home corner with the children. The Toddlers used the baby bottles to feed the dolls and the cloth nappies and baby blankets wrap the dolls up nice and warm.

Miss Lyn prepared the table with sensory playdough play and the children manipulated the dough and utilised the rollers and cookie cutters to create shapes and patterns. Some friends gathered on the mat with Miss Leesa to listen to the farm animal noises on the CD and to help identify the animals  on the bingo cards.

The children then had the choice of cotton bud painting at the table with Miss Lyn or singing along to some of our favourite songs and rhymes with the finger puppets. Today we also discovered our little ‘elf ‘ trying to  hide on top of the fire extinguisher! We also observed fresh sand being poured into our new sandpit in the playgound.

Wow… What a super busy day of fun and play in the Toddler room today..

Until next time..

Love Miss Leesa, Miss Lyn and Miss Jade
