Happy Tuesday families and friends…
Wow! What a wonderfully busy day of fun, learning and play in the Toddler room today. This morning the children quickly noticed the change of the play spaces in the room and were excited to explore and engage. Home corner was very popular as the children gathered to role-play and pretend to cook and wash dishes in the new kitchen and cook sausages on the BBQ. Some friends enjoyed dress-up play and pretending to go grocery shopping with the baskets.
Miss Jade and the children worked as a team to build a big long train track for the magnetic trains. While some Toddler friends engaged in sensory play with the playdough as they copied Miss Lyn kneading the dough back and forth and engaging in conversation about the texture and feel of the dough on their hands.
Yarn time today the children happily gathered on the mat to share some Christmas themed stories. Today we shared ‘There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Star’. The children have been so excited about Santa visiting soon and have been sharing their thoughts about their favourite Christmas present they would like from Santa! Show and tell time Miss Ivy proudly showed off her ‘elf on the shelf’s’ funny hiding spots at her home. What a cheeky little elf he is at Ivy’s house.
Until next time…
Love Miss Leesa, Miss Lyn and Miss Jade
