Welcome families and friends to another fabulous day of fun and play in the Toddler room today!
This morning the children were keen to make their way to the great outdoors to observe the digger in the playground again. The children quickly noticed that our old playground was ‘all gone’ as they watched on carefully as the excavator filled the playground with dirt. The children then explored the outdoors, engaging in sand play with the green diggers, practising their ball skills and gross motor skills as they raced through the tunnel.
We then transitioned indoors to continue on with our Halloween art experience of making handprint ghosts. Miss Lyn has already displayed some of our Halloween artwork on the windows. The children were then given the opportunity to express their creativity using the fluro paint pens to create pretty pictures. Some friends decided to paint rainbows with the bright colours.
Yarn time today the children chose some of their favourite story books from Miss Leesa’s collection. Today the favourites included ‘Five Cheeky Monkey’s’, ‘Busy Railway’, ‘Five Little Ducks’ and ‘Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea’. The children continue to really enjoy story time and in particular helping Miss Leesa predict the storyline and create their own stories by observing the pictures.
Until next time…
Love Miss Leesa, Miss Lyn and Miss Jess. B.
