Hello families and friends and welcome to another fabulous day of fun and play in the Toddler room today. This morning the children explored the great outdoors, climbing and balancing on the fort, engaging in sensory sand play with the diggers and practising our ball skills, making hoops. We welcomed our new friend Bella to the Toddler room while we were playing outside. Bella had a wonderful time exploring and making new friends. We then transitioned indoors for our Acknowledgment to country and good morning songs. All the children were engaged and sang so beautifully along with Miss Leesa and Mis Nikki. Ivy proudly showed off her photos from her long weekend away, where she spent time with her cousins and swam in the pool. Thank you Ivy for sharing your little holiday with all your kindy friends.
This week in the Toddler room we will be focusing on transport play as we share books, build trucks with the construction set, make tracks for the magnet trains and sing transport songs and rhymes. Today we shared a big book entitled, ‘Big Machines’. The children helped identify some of their favourite trucks including a bulldozer, dump truck, excavator, crane and digger. The children then set about using their imagination to create a variety of transport vehicles with the lego, and Poly M blocks. The children created tractors, tow trucks and semi trailers with the construction sets.
Miss Gabby then joined us for Yoga time. The children were very excited to assist her with setting up the mats and resources, as they gathered on the mat for singing, dancing and posing. The children also chased the bubbles and enjoyed tickles form the feathers. Other play experiences today included working on the transport puzzles, sharing stories in book comer, role play in home corner, singing along with the felt stories and puppets and playing with the animal figurines.
Until next time…
Love Miss Leesa, Miss Nikki and Miss Danica
