Glorious Friday
Hello and welcome to what has been a wonderful Friday to end this week on.
To start the day the children eagerly headed outside as they adventured around their playground in seek of their spontaneous play choices, here are a few of what the children enjoyed this morning in the great outdoors.
- Climbing through the rope bridge
- Swinging through the breeze on the swing and helping to push the swing for one another.
- Digging in the bark area
- Climbing up and down the obstacle course
It was a lovey time this morning with one another, we then headed to meet everyone on the veranda outside our classroom for group time. To begin group time, we started with some songs ‘’Wheels on the bus’’ and ‘’Miss Polly had a dolly’’ to gain their attention before Miss Jess read a book called ‘’There is a monster under my bed who farts’’ The children were engaged throughout this book and was nice to see them all enjoying it. We then headed inside, washed hands, and sat at the table for morning tea which was a scrumptious Mango Tango Coconut Granola cups!
When the children were finished, they packed away and waited at the door as Miss Hope set up a VERY FUN dinosaur/ sensory activity! When Miss Hope was ready, they set foot to investigate what had been put out for all to dive into and explore! In the black tray and red tub was water with frozen dinosaurs and pom poms! The children were able to break away the ice using a paintbrush and playdough utensils! They all LOVED this activity and saving the dinosaurs.
The children were able to roam freely to and from the activity as they explore outside before Miss Jenny came for dance! In dance today they shacked the shakers, grooved to the music and played a game of sleeping bunnies! They all received a sticker at the end for great listening throughout.
The children then ventured outside before they came in for a delicious lunch and a reenergising rest for what is installed for this afternoon’s journey.
