Good Afternoon families,

This morning Miss Thais, Bec and Maddi welcomed Kezia, Rania, Dominic, Ava, Nayla, Tai, Onyx, Lachlan, Millie, Abel, Aria and Lincoln into the yard. Today, their main interests were riding the bikes, rolling the hula-hoops, playing in the sandpit and reading books. We then sat down for a group time outdoors where Miss Thais read “Peppa Pig’s Pumpkin Party” to start off our Halloween celebrations for the week. The children really enjoyed this book and kept asking for a Pumpkin party.

We then sang our good morning songs and ‘bee bee bumble bee’ before we transitioned inside for morning tea. After morning tea, we went outdoors where Miss Bec called us in one-by-one to do a ‘trick or treat, smell our feet’ painting. This was where we painted our feet and stood on paper, making a ‘ghost’. The children really enjoyed the tickling sensation as we painted the bottom of their feet.

Outdoors, the children enjoyed a little bit of water play, as well as climbing all over the obstacle course, jumping off and balancing on the balancing beam. Some children were happy to sit outdoors and read a book to themselves, looking at all the pictures and even naming some of the things they saw!

Our yoga teacher then came in, where she helped us relax our bodies, breathe in and out slowly, stretch our bodies and dance to ‘sleeping bunnies. We love this song!

It was then time to transition to lunch, where once again, we sang ‘bee bee bumble bee’, before washing our hands.

We have had a lovely start to the week! Reminder to have a look at the invitation on our classroom door regarding our halloween party week. Feel free to dress up this week as your scariest costume 😉

Love Miss Thais, Bec and Maddi xx
