Good afternoon families,
We have had a wonderful day at kindy today. This morning, our friends were welcomed into the yard by Miss Thais, Miss Maddi and Miss Bec, where there was music playing, a drawing table set up and lots to explore! Our friends really enjoy playing in the sandpit, making sandcastles and riding bikes around the track.
We then transitioned inside where we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea. Our friends are becoming really good at washing their hands thoroughly! Morning tea was danishes and fruit, yum! 🙂
After morning tea, we split the class in half, where Miss Bec took some of us outdoors and Miss Maddi kept the other half indoors, then we swapped so all of our friends had the chance to do both activities. Outdoors, Miss Bec had set up an ice and rice sensory activity, where there was a tray of rice and a tray of colourful ice. The children were able to put the ice on the rice and move it around, dying the rice as they went. They loved this sensory activity, moving the cold ice around. Indoors, Miss Maddi had set up animal puzzles, magnets and the blocks for us to build towers. The children loved both the indoor and outdoor activities.
We then all transitioned outdoors for a little bit of free play, where we tipped some of our coloured rice into the animal farm set up which we loved!
It was then time for us to come indoors, wash our hands, have lunch and lay down for rest time.
We have had a beautiful day here in Toddler Two!
