Hello families and friends,

Today we welcome our friends celebrating Halloween in Toddlers 2 Room. Miss Thais, Miss Bec, and Miss Bec were dressed up as a witch. Kezia and Nayla really enjoyed wearing the witch hats. Abel was dressed up as a pirate and Lachlan got a witch cape. We also decorate our Room and the children enjoyed help us.

For our group time today, we played with shaving cream. Miss Thais set up 2 bowls with shaving cream and some insects (spider, snake). All the children had the chance to play with, feel the texture, and also find the insects that were hidden. Sensory play encourages children to manipulate and mold materials, building up their fine motor skills and coordination.Sensory play uses all 5 senses, but the sense of touch is often the most frequent. Toddlers and children process information through their senses. They learn through exploring these.

We also danced to some Halloween music and play with “scared animals” said Kezia. Nikora, Lachlan, Tua, Rania, Kezia, Nayla, Millie, Abel and Onyx really enjoyed the dancing.

After we had a little play outdoor- water play and sandpit. We came inside before our lunch and Miss Bec read to us “Peppa’s Pumpkin Party” Book and sang some songs- “Baa, baa, black sheep”, “Hello how are you” and Millie asked for “bee bee bumble bee”.

We had a delicious lunch today and we are sleeping now for more play.

Tomorrow we have more Halloween party in Toddlers Two Room.

Love Miss Thais, Miss Bec and Miss Maddi
