Hello families and welcome to another wonderful week of fun and play in the Toddler room. Today the children engaged in sensory play with the purple magic sand. The children utilised the rollers, shape cutters and  castle moulds to design and create as well as the colourful feathers to decorate their creations. This type of play encourages children to practice their fine motor skills to manipulate the dough as well as using their imagination to create. The children then moved onto expressing their creativity as they drew rainbows on the chalkboards,  The children helped each other identify the colours of the chalk as they practiced their drawing skills. The children also engaged in play with the doll house as they identified and negotiated roles and pretended to be mummies and babies.  Yarn time today we shared one of our favourite books entitled, ‘The Very Noisy Bear”. The children are always so excited to label all of the different types of animals found in the jungle as the bear learns to play all different types of musical instruments!  Wow… what a super busy day of learning and play in the Toddler room today…

Love Miss Leesa and Miss Jess…
