Welcome back to another fun week of playing and learning here at Riversdale Early Learning! Today Miss Leesa & Miss Thais were both off sick, so Toddler One and Two joined together for a fun day. Our day started outside in the fresh air, where the obstacle course and the sandpit were the places to be! After a fun morning playing outside, the children then transitioned inside for hand washing and yummy Morning Tea.
Once they had finished their morning tea, the children moved off to various activities around the room. Colton made his way straight to the train box and started building his train track. Soon his friends Kyro and Luca came over and played along with him. Lachlan, Hendrix and Ivy M found the magnetic connectors and started exploring how magnets work. They manipulated each piece so that the magnets attracted each other instead of repelled and worked on creating some wonderful gadgets. Over in Home Corner, Chef Quinn and Chef Kyro were cooking up a banquet for their friends. While Rosie enjoyed some time to herself and read some books, Ivy S sat at the art table, using the chalk and dusters to draw on the blackboard.
Miss Shelby placed a threading activity on the table for the Toddlers to participate in. There was different types of beads to use to use to thread onto the string. The children manipulated the beads onto the string and then along to the end of the string. Harry and a few of his peers then sat down with Miss Jess and explored a new Brown Bear resource, before asking Miss Jess to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear and a few other books. The Toddler friends then danced along with ribbons to some music before tidying up for a yummy lunch of pasta and veggies.
