Happy Friday families and friends.. Today we finished off ‘Book Week’ with our friend William bringing along one his favourite transport books entitled, ‘Tractors and Diggers’. William proudly showed off his storybook and costume to his peers as we shared the book for yarn time. After our Acknowledgement to Country and morning tea, the children gathered on the mat for ‘Funky Feet’ dancing with Miss Jen. The children joined in and practised stretching first. Harper and Charlotte demonstrated wonderful flexibility as they touched their toes. Harvey, William and Harry soon joined in when Miss Jen opened her big suitcase full of fun resources and handed out the colourful shakers. The children danced and played follow the leader as they marched around the tables. Miss Jen then collected her poms poms and Vaughn joined in to dance and shake the poms poms to the music. The children then helped Miss Jen pack away and waved good bye.
Miss Gabi then joined the group and sat on the mat as the children gathered around to work alongside each other to build and construct with the Poly M blocks. The children helped identify the colours and counted the blocks as they built to create tall towers together. Harvey requested the dinosaurs again today and all his peers quickly joined in as they role played and made ‘Roarrr’ sounds. We also continued on with painting and decorating special gifts for Father’s Day for next weekend. Please don’t forget we are hosting a special Father’s Day gathering here at kindy next Thursday the 29th August between 5-6pm. Hope you can all make it..
