Hey families!! Happy Friday and happy almost Halloween!!

This morning was an energetic morning start welcoming our friends into the centre for the day. Miss Simona was here bright and early to welcome us and give lots of cuddles to start our day, Miss Danna and Miss Steph came a little later and were welcomed by smiling faces playing out in the yard.

Today was a mixed bag with some children wearing red for Daniel Morcombe and others were dressed up for our Halloween party! Miss Steph had her vampire costume on which had red in it too! And Miss Danna was dressed as a pumpkin, as well as Miss Simona with her special spooky shirt on. We have some photos of our friends!

Today we had lots of Halloween activities set up for the children. Today we baked our very own Halloween cupcakes with icing and little Halloween character fondants. The children helped pouring, mixing and combining the  mixture to put in the oven for afternoon tea! We also had a sensory table where we were able to use our fine motor skills and cognitive thinking skills to scoop, pour, and use the tongs to play with the rice and spaghetti! On another table we did a cool science experiment using bicarbonate soda and vinegar and made the pumpkin explode like a volcano!! the children loved this experiment and watching it all pour out as well as getting their fingers amongst it.

We had a fabulous halloween party and even had Miss Jeni come and do some dancing with us! We absolutely love Miss Jeni and really enjoy moving our bodies to the dance, becoming aware of the space around us and how our bodies can use this space. We did Halloween themed dancing, pretending to be witches, black cats and spooky skeletons.

We hope you had a fantastic day and a wonderful spooky weekend!

Lots of love, Miss Danna, Miss Steph and Miss Simona xxx
