Good afternoon and happy Monday!!
We hope you had a beautiful weekend and enjoyed family time!
We welcomed our friends outdoors this morning and enjoyed saying hello to ‘Gucci’ the horse, splashing around in the wet kitchen and riding bikes! After spontaneous play we sat down and sang “Hello how are you and ‘Bee Bee’ for transition time, it was quite a hot morning so our friends were glad to go inside for the aircon and morning tea!
During group time this morning, we kicked off our Brazilian Carnival week! Our friends picked out dance dress-ups from our collection and we rocked out to Brazilian dance music. Miss Thais also found our rainbow parachute; our friends held the parachute together and we rolled balls around on it while lifting it up and down. This was a good activity for the children to do team- work and strengthen their coordination and fine motor skills.
Our friends then enjoyed some quiet spontaneous play indoors still wearing their dance outfits – we read books, played canteen shopping and explored the construction and home corner too! Afterwards we made our way outside and Miss Thais too a few of our friends inside at a time to plant the seed kits that families have been bringing in for us and then was then time for Yoga!! We are enjoying practicing yoga outside with Toddlers 2.
Before we got ready for lunch we enjoyed outside play to release some energy and have a busy play! Enjoyed lunch together and are now resting our bodies for more play this afternoon.
