Welcome to the beginning of another week of playing and learning. Today we welcomed two new friends into our Toddler One Room, Rosie and Colton. We spent our morning outside where Rosie and Harry enjoyed playing together on the forte. Rosie then moved on to the obstacle course where Kyro joined her for some gross motor fun!
We then transitioned inside with Miss Thais and Quinn, who joined us for today from Toddler Two. Quinn sat on Miss Thais’ lap while she read stories to Ivy and Harry. Colton explored his new environment and took an interest in our Indigenous inspired River Rocks. He started tapping them on the ground and noticing the different sounds they made before playing in Home Corner.
Miss Jess then set up a watercolour painting activity at the art table. The children came over once they saw the paint pots on the table. They took turns waiting for and sharing the different coloured paint. Quinn decided to tasted each colour and ended up temporarily colouring her lips. Miss Nadeen then popped in to deliver a message and sat down building with Ivy for a few minutes. The children then danced along to some tunes before Miss Thais and Miss Steph took them for a quick play in the yard.
What a wonderful day we all had!
