Good afternoon families,
I hope you had a nice weekend. We started our day greeting our friends inside our room! After enjoying some time playing inside we decided to go outdoors. Before racing out the door we applied sunscreen and put our hats on. Outdoors, we explored the playground and enjoyed seeing the horses and saying good morning!
Today, Miss Thais got a new book for the children today called “Australian Animals”, so for our Group Time before we transitioned inside the room we read the book together and Miss Thais also asked the children the animal’s name while she was showing the images to them. To extend that we also created a sensory activity with different Australian animal figurines for the children to play with. They really enjoyed role play with different animals.
We also had another table set up in the room with a car mat and different wooden cars (trucks, ambulance, fire trucks, diggers). The children kept very busy this morning playing with our new cars and trucks.
We decided to go outdoors again before lunch to release some energy and then Miss Maddi did our Group Time before lunchtime. We sang our famous “Bee Bee bumble bee” and Orion sang to us “Twinkle twinkle little star”. Miss Maddi read two more books to us called “Piranhas don’t eat bananas” and “Dinosaurs”. The children have been shown a lot of interest in reading books.
For our lunch, we had Australian sausages to fill our tummies. The children really enjoyed the lunch today.
