Hi families!!
I hope you have had a great Thursday.
Today in our toddlers one room we had: Delila, Harry, Colton, Harrison, Vaughan, Everlea, Ivy, Kennedy, Chanel, Banjo, Millie and Luca!
We began our day outside like usual, with lots of friends playing with the bikes and in the sandpit! We decided to make sandcastles today in the sand, as well as using our trucks to pick up more sand and take it to where we were making our castles.
We then transitioned inside for some yummy morning tea, today it was delicious apple pancakes with banana and watermelon, our friends favourites! they ate it all up and then it was time to play some more!
We decided to do indoor outdoor today, and do some sensory play with chia seeds, water and food colouring! Our friends also decided to play with the bikes, sand and water. Inside they played with the lego, books and train tracks and with Miss Gabi, finished the spiders they began making this week which were made out of recycled egg cartons, paint, googly eyes, today they stuck on the eyes!
We have also still been reading books to our friends, and encouraging them to read when they are waiting on their bed for a pat! The children love sitting on their beds with books and we can often hear them reading aloud to themselves. Reading to young children is proven to improve and help along the process of cognitive development. When you begin reading aloud to your child, it essentially provides them with background knowledge on their young world, which helps them make sense of what they see, hear, and read.
We hope you had a great day,
lots of love, Miss Danna, Miss Steph and Miss Gabi xxx
