Hello families,
We welcomed Ariana, Lara, Millie, August, Delilah, Nikora, Thomas, Ruby, Quintin, Isabella, Lincoln, Tua, Abel and Alia today into the Toddlers One Room. We started our morning playing outdoors. Millie, Lara, Ruby, Delilah and Isabella all showed a lot of interest in the baby dolls this morning, so Miss Thais decided to take the baby doll accessories outside for our friends to play with, baby bottles, bibs, plates, baby clothes. Nikora arrived with some cars from home and loved showing his friends what they could do and gave his friends Abel and Lincoln a go! Then it was time for Arakan which our friends thoroughly enjoy – August, Thomas, Quintin, Ariana, Tua and Alia all showed great listening skills and followed the instructions during Arakan Martial Arts. Once it was time for some morning our friends all came and sat down with Miss Jordan and Miss Maddi while we all sang songs together before transitioning inside for some morning tea; today the children got to enjoy Tummy Warming Vegan French Toast for morning tea.
We then enjoyed some spontaneous free play inside before sitting down together in the book corner where Miss Maddi read to us “we paint the world with colour” as this week is reconciliation week so as a group, we all talked together about how everybody is different in their own ways and how we are all beautiful the way we are! The children showed a lot of interest in this group time and loved talking about all the different things they saw in the book. We then split into different groups were each group got to enjoy a different activity. Some of our friends got to enjoy playing outside with Miss Shae, while another group were inside with Miss Maddi where she had set up an activity extending the interest on our baby dolls by deciding to paint them for reconciliation week and another group doing playdough building with Miss Jordan.
We then all went outside together in the side yard for a run around where our friends loved the balance beam with some of our friends counting to 10 before they all took turns jumping off the beam. Before it was time to all gathered together for a book before we transition inside to wash our hands and have some yummy lunch.
We are now all resting our bodies!
