Happy Thursday families and friends… What a super fun day of learning and play in the Toddler Room today. This morning Harry and Harvey worked collaboratively together to build towers with the long wooden blocks. The children counted as they built and were thrilled when the blocks were balanced and as high as they could go. Harvey then transitioned to drawing where Evie joined in and the children happily drew patterns, stripes and circles all over their page. Miss Jess then prepared a painting experience and the children quickly gathered around patiently waiting their turn. Colton had a wonderful time as he spread the colours across his page. Ivy requested the puppets for group time today and all the children sat on the mat to sing along. Today we shared ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear’ where the children helped identify all the different animals the Bear could see including a yellow duck, green frog, purple cat and a blue horse. We all then sang along to ‘5 Red Apples’ as the children each picked a red apple off the tree to transition to wash hands for lunch which included yummy shepherds pie and salad.
