Good afternoon everyone!
Today we welcomed Ruby, Liz, Millie, Luna, Charlie, Thomas, Ariana, Abel, Isabella, Diego, August and Quintin. We started our early morning indoors as it was warm and toasty and then as it warmed up we made our way out into the Yard exploring the swing and riding bikes. The children are showing great skills riding the 2 wheels bike which was a challenge for them before.
The morning went by so fast and before we knew it, it was time for morning tea!! We sat down together with Miss Maddi and read “ She was an old lady that swallowed a fly” then we finished off with the famous “BEE BEE”! For morning tea this morning we enjoyed Delicious Apple, Chia and Date Pancakes! As we were finishing up morning tea, Miss Lea came into TD1 with her amazing Bug show presentation! So we raced outdoors and enjoyed more free play while she got our bug friends ready to say hello. When Miss Lea was ready all of our babies and toddlers friends came into our room to join us in watching the show. We learned about so many different bugs and what they do, their names and what they like to eat. During the show we also sang, danced and then, we got to touch, feel and hold some bugs – it was awesome!!
Afterward we went outdoors again where we found a sensory bug activity waiting for us. Our friends were able to practice using their fine motor skills to pluck bugs that our friend Ruby brought in out of clay with plastic tongs. We giggled and laughed as we finally got the bugs out after many attempts! We then enjoyed some more play in the sun before transitioning indoors with “BEE BEE” to fill our tummies with Supercharged Spaghetti Bolognese and recharge our bodies with a big rest!
