Good afternoon families,
Today we welcomed Isabelle, Millie, Ivy, Nayla, Isabella, Nikora, Ariana, Orion, Rosie, Ivy, Tua, Abel and Alia. We started our day indoors exploring the room. We did construction with the big wooden blocks and play with the big wooden blocks that the children found at the table this morning.
When Miss Thais arrived we read some Easter books, “Honey Bunny”, “Easter Egg Surprise” and “We are going on an egg hunt” where we counted all the eggs together practising the numbers. We sang our songs “Hello how are you” and “Bee bee bumble bee” before we transitioned to the toilet and wash our hands for the morning tea. During morning tea we practise our fine motor skills by using the spoon.
For activity time we split the children into two different groups- outdoor and indoor. Outdoor they played in the sandpit and riding bikes with Miss Tayla and Miss Jade. Indoor with Miss Thais we started our Easter activity where the children had the opportunity to paint and decorate the Easter basket using different colors of glitter The children also engaged in a playdough table inside while were waiting for their turn to make the baskets. They created little easter eggs playing with playdough.
Later in the morning, the bunny came to visit us! The children got really excited when saw the bunny. Everyone got a little egg surprise with an easter sticker inside.
After lunch with a full belly, we are resting for more adventures this afternoon!
